Bank accounts for kids

You can open a bank account when you are 11 + :)

They are generally similar to adult ones; you can pay money in and make withdrawals from an ATM or in a branch.

The main difference is that children’s bank accounts don’t offer overdrafts.

This is good because you can't get into debt when you are young :)

These accounts may offer the choice between a cash card that allows ATM withdrawals or a debit card, which can be used in shops, online and at ATMs.

Some banks let you fill in an application form online, but you’ll probably still have to go in branch to complete the application.

One of the best bank accounts I could find is TSB because it has a better interest rate. The interest rate is 2.5%. This means that for every £10 you save you get 25p every year for free. It encourages people to save as you'll get more money in the end. :D
