The temple. 

(note this is part 2 of the ruins)

Since the temple has been rebuilt it looks very strange and a temple is supposed to be in the desert so the curse made a tsunami of sand. Meanwhile the kids were playing hide and seek until they saw the curse. The curse was in it's physical form. The kids were running away from the monster but the kids had an idea. If the curse made the curse can be destroyed. They tried. And tried. And tried but they couldn’t do it so they excepted there fate and they were never seen again.
