5S Learning Assembly

This year, 5S performed an outstanding performance based on their learning so far. In the assembly, 5S created all of their lines by themselves including the props. It included 4 sections: English, Maths, Science and Outdoor Learning.

English

The assembly was opened with five amazing acts from Aman, Yoanas, Aliza, Sophia and Nuriya. Aman, Yoanas and Aliza read a marvellous paragraph from their stories. After, Nuriya and Sophia performed an incredible dialogue that they wrote.

Maths

The maths performance included different strategies of working out equations involving factors and multiples. To help the audience understand, the group created posters showing each of the topics. The topics were:

Factors and multiples 

Factor bugs

Factor trees

Prime factors

Prime numbers and composite numbers

Each person explained the topics carefully and thoroughly so that the crowd could understand the concepts. They also played a few games to make sure the crowd were listening.

Science

The science group, consisting of Abdulrahman, Aariyan, Maahrukh, Jaanvi and Zahan performed brilliantly. The science section included information about the sun and moon and they also quizzed the audience to see whether they were listening. The audience were listening perfectly and there were phenomenal answers. The science groups also mentioned the order of the solar system in which can be hard to remember.

Outdoor Learning

The outdoor learning group, including Sumaya, Rehaani, Prisha, Khiyana, David, Kal-El, Zahra and Sariyah, showcased an outstanding performance. The performance included a detailed and interesting role play of when our class helped Miss Huvers plant mini trees. Sumaya acted out as Miss Huvers, (and I must say that she was pretty good at this), whilst the others all acted out as the children. Some children also helped cut the brambles to plant some new trees there.

Overall, I think 5S did a sensational assembly and all their effort paid off in the end.
