Next week we will be learning all about pattern. They will learn to use some different vocabulary surrounding colour such as clear, transparent, translucent, burgundy, aqua darker, lighter etc. We will be learning all about scarecrows and learning the song, Dingle, Dangle Scarecrow

In Phonics we will be identifying sounds u e ck r. As well as identifying the sound, we will be learning to write it with the correct formation, in lowercase and the capital form. We are also starting to blend and segment words with the use of sound buttoning. In maths, we will be plasticising counting without needing to move items and sequencing numbers to 10 forwards and backwards as swell as making patterns of their own.

This Weeks Challenge

This time we challenge you to a treasure hunt. Your child will receive the treasure hunt sheet in their book bags. It would be super if you could discuss these terms such as; transparent and shiny with your child too to better their understanding.
