An earthquake sometimes only lasts for a few seconds but can also last for a few minutes. Earthquakes are very dangerous. They can kill you and you can also become badly injured. About the Haiti earthquake as well, it killed a lot of people and that killed a lot of people and also the Valdivia earthquake killed more than 230,000 people and if you were in the Haiti earthquake you probably wouldn't think that the Valdivia earthquake was the worst but if you were in that earthquake you would regret it. Earthquakes are so strong you could get homeless, injured and even almost dead.
