How is hedgehog?

I knew I shouldn’t have done it! It was all my fault. I was trudging through the lush, verdant park when I heard a small whine.Behind a clump of ancient Willow trees came the mournful minute squeal. A small pin cushion was rustling in the leaves . I realised it was a hedgehog yelping in pain. I had a huge adrenaline rush, my forehead was trickling in sweat.

Soon there was a small puddle of sweat beneath my murky feet. My body temperature was increasing at an incredible pace. I hid the hedgehog under the leaves and ran off to the dump. The stench filled the place ; I wrinkled up my stubby nose and ran along to the shoe box department. My heart was in my throat. As fast as I could, I grabbed the first box I saw. The scenery whizzed past me, I didn’t want to lose a second. Mrs reallyposh was staring at the flower bed and said “ What an attractive herbaceous border. Also the prepossessing florets. “ she stated. Then trotted away. I was so relieved. I picked up the hedgehog and it squealed with pain and agony. I rushed home and propped my hedgehog under my bed.

Every day I propped some hay and salad and bandaged the dirty wounds. Mum got suspicious and asked me what I always was doing underneath my bed. I said I was meditating and trying to think about things, she was satisfied with that reply. The next day I put a whole bowl of juicy salad just outside the his dry box. I waited for him to tumble out. Then mum called me and I left reluctantly. When we came back the cleaner said she saw a filthy mouse in my room. It was hedgehog...

My mind was whirring with ideas like a little boy that has just had 1000 bags of sugar. At last I found a light bulb. “It is only my remote controlled mouse that I got for my birthday. There is no need to be afraid Mrs scrubandclean “ I blurted.( Mrs scrubandclean was the cleaner’s name name). My mum was satisfied with that answer. I knew my mum was getting very suspicious so I chose to do something I really didn’t want to do… I let Mr hedgehog go . In the night at 1:27am on the dot I got him and crept into the back gloomy garden. The trees were whispering sinister words and the bushes chatting in a suspicious ways. I ran and shoved his plump little body through the hole and into the nature reserve. I bolted back in the house and bolted the door. I sprang into bed and lay there as quiet as a mouse.

The years fly past. One sunny morning when the sun dazzled high in the sky something strange happened… I was jumping on my tall green trampoline when I heard a long bristle sound. From behind the red robin bush came moving boxes of needles . Here came Mr hedgehog and his charming wife and his adorable children. The whole procession came marching down the slippery, clean garden track. Hedgehog who was now fully grown, waved a cute little paw at me, and so did the rest.a mouse. I pondered for what seemed years on all the questions I had. This was the story of how I found my best friend.
