MATHS IS EVERYWHERE!

The Golden Ratio and Fibonacci Numbers

1. MY DRESS IN MATHS AND ART

I am wearing a dress that is inspired by some famous dresses designed by the couturier

Yves Saint Laurent.

The famous French fashion designer created the'Mondrian' dresses in 1965. They were simple shift dresses featuring various geometric shapes and primary colours.

The dress was inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian (1872-1944), a Dutch artist who is famous for creating paintings using rectangles and squares, often in primary colours of red,

blue and yellow, plus black and white.
