WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

I would like to start by giving everyone a huge welcome back to school.

For a while assemblies are going to be a bit different until it is safe for us all to be together again in the hall. I will be doing my assembly through this blog. Your teachers will share stories and Powerpoints with you so you can add to the blog.

This week we are going to think about coming back to school. This year it is different in some ways but the same in other ways so we are going to think about that.

Start by looking at the pictures and tell me what the connection is.

Can you think of any other pictures that could be added to these?

Now look at the Powerpoint about a New Term at School.

There are lots of things for you to think about and discuss with your teacher but I would like you to especially think about what is the same and what is different about this start to the new school year.

Finally there is the story of a young boy who grew up to be someone very special. He loved to learn and he has given many wise sayings for us to think about.
