Skellig is a book about a boy, Michael, who moves house with his parents and recently born sister. One day he goes outside into his overgrown garden and finds a battered shed which is falling apart he goes in to find an old man sitting on the floor eating bugs. With the help of his new friend, Mina they help the man become strong again. Meanwhile, his baby sister is fighting for her life and Michael is worried about her.

This is such a strange book but in a good way. I love who the author really sets the scene with the choice of words he uses. This is a very well-known book and is the sequel the amazing book, My name is Mina which includes the main character, Michael.

I highly recommend this book to people who like strange and weird books or people who like excitement or really anybody! The book also has a film to it which I also recommend watching.
