When the sun was out the shovel was made of pure silver and glinted in the sunlight but when the clouds came rolling in the shovel turned to iron and was fuzzing with lightning. When in the sunlight the shovel could did through anything except warstone and when the clouds came rolling that shovel could only dig warstone. Rumour has it that if the silver shovel was hit with lightning it could dig through anything even warstone and also if the to shovels are reunited it will turn them both into one sword that could defeat an army with one swipe.
