The Bakery Tunnels

15 years ago, a 20 year old man named Josh, decided to explore abandoned places. One of which was a 30 year old bakery known for people coming out crazy. Some didn't even come out to tell their tale. Something from inside the tunnels made people come out like maniacs. But what?

It was April 27th when Josh decided to go to those mysterious and most definitely creepy tunnels. First he had to find out where the bakery was. After gathering all the courage he had in him, with hesitation he went out of his house taking one last look at everything he loved. He didn't know if he was never entering his house that full with amazing memories. He smiled and went to his car to drive to the bakery.

Ironically it was in the middle of the woods. "That isn't creepy at all," he said with sarcasm in his voice as he sighed right after. He slowly walked inside trembling with fear. He explored the downstairs lightly. Then he went to search what there was upstairs. He went back down to search it a little better the before. Not much was different, but then he saw what was left of the front desk and what was behind it. "A path?" he asked himself. He shined the torch light at the desk to see if there was something hiding. Nothing. "Thank God," he sighed in relief. after manning up he went into the hole.

After he squeezed through the tight hole he found himself in a room with a tunnel. Shining the light towards it, finding out there was more then one tunnel. He sighed. Knowing he will eventually go in the tunnel. He stayed quite for a second, trying to hear anything. Maybe a warning stopping him from going any further. Silence. He once again sighed and started walking. "Its like a maze of tunnels here," Josh said, hearing the echo of his voice.

Finally, he reached the end of the maze, finding himself in a room. A random rocking chair sat in the middle of the room and a broken window making the floor filled with sharp glass. The window looked like someone had came in by breaking it but it was way to high for the person to survive the jump. Josh was about to take another step and that's when he saw the rocking chair going from still to rocking. "What the heck?" Josh was shaking. There wasn't any wind but he felt a cold presence next him right after. He saw a way out. He didn't waste any more time and quickly ran to it, trying to shake the eerie feeling.

After he found himself outside. "Finally! I can go home!" Josh exclaimed. "Wait..." he paused, something was off but he couldn't put a finger on it. He though for a while and figured it out. "Oh My God." He walked to a few places, thinking it was all in his head. He went to his work place, local church, a few small parks, a hospital, everything had the same feeling or look. They all looked 100 years old. They were all abandoned and the streets were deserted. The buildings looked all broken down. Like something horrible happened to the world. The more he walked the creepier it got. Every step seemed like he went through time.

"I'm not alone?" Josh asked him self. He was alone. Just with a hand full of lost souls. The ones that dared to come.
