In 1997 space probe Cassini-Huygens was launched. It was a joint American-European mission to orbit Saturn and its countless moons. The probe was in orbit for 20 long years and orbited Saturn which is 900 million miles away from earth!

A key event occurred in 2005 when the probe entered the atmosphere of one of Saturn's moons, Titan. It parachuted through the moons thick atmosphere and landed. Huygens received and sent many photos and data that helped all the scientists that worked on the probe, because now they know more about Saturn and its moons. By this I mean, that they know what the weather is like, if there is any water (possibly meaning signs of life) and what the surface is like, so that maybe they can conduct another mission like this one.
