Grace Hopper was born on the 9th of December 1906.

Early life

As a child, she took apart seven alarm clocks, to see what was inside them.After that, when she grew up she worked in the Navy.

SHE HAD THE IDEA THAT PROGRAMS COULD BE WRITTEN IN A LANGUAGE THAT

WAS CLOSE TO ENGLISH RATHER THAN IN MACHINE CODE.
