Title: The BFG

Author: Roald Dahl

Illustrator: Quentin Blake

Characters: There are two kinds of characters, some giants and some humans. The main character is the BFG which stands for the Big Friendly Giant. The second main character is Sophie, an orphan girl. The secondary characters are the bad giants like Fleshlumpeater, Bloodbottler and Bonecruncher. There are also the Queen of England, her maid, the Head of the Army and the Head of the Air Force.

Plot: The BFG snatches Sophie from her bed while he is blowing dreams into children while they are sleeping. He takes her to his cave. The bad giants live outside the cave and they eat people so the BFG hides Sophie from them. One day the bad giants go to England and they eat some boarding-school children. The BFG and Sophie wanted to stop the bad giants from eating more school children. So the BFG blows a bad dream into the queen of England's sleep and she sees giants eating school children. Next morning, the newspapers speaks about such a bad thing and the queen together with the BFG and Sophie and the Army and Air force throw the bad giants into an enormously deep pit in England.

Conclusion: I liked reading the book because it was interesting. I always thought giants are bad, but here we have a friendly giant. I would recommend this book to my friends.
