Appleyard dancers are based the Worcestershire, many of us live in Malvern and the surrounding villages.

Appleyard were formed in 1991 to add some sparkle to Upton-upon-Severn Oak Apple Day celebrations.

Our mascot is a duck, as our name is taken from the pretty silver and green Appleyard Duck.

We enjoy performing a wide range of dances -- morris, border, folk, originating from all over the UK, many traditionally performed by women. Some have historical significance and have been passed down the generations. Some dances we modify to suit our group and some we construct ourselves to mark a special occasion or event, all using traditional steps.

We practise on Thursday evenings at Earls Croome village hall.

We attend folk festivals, meet at a pub to dance and socialise with other groups and perform at fetes and celebrations. We believe that giving a good performance is only possible if we are having fun.

We give a warm welcome to new dancers (no experience needed!) and musicians at any time. If you would like to join us or for any other information please contact us at info4appleyard@gmail.com
